21 Divisions: Mystery & Magic Of Dominican Voodoo with Papa Hector

Hollywood has done a great job of making a good portion of the populace afraid of Hoodoo, Voodoo, Santeria, Southern Conjure, etc. Well in this episode of MMC, we will be tackling – while maintaining a healthy respect for – some of the myth, by talking with ‘Papa Hector’ Salva about Dominican Voodoo and his book “The 21 Divisions” Mysteries and Magic of Dominican Voodoo.

We will go ‘Live’ right here on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/MysticMoonCafe

The 21 Divisions: Mysteries and Magic of Dominican Voodoo
https://www.amazon.com/21-Divisions-Mysteries-Dominican-Voodoo-ebook/dp/B07XMHTVCH/

One of the first books to explore the unique tradition of Dominican shamanism, the magical practices called the 21 Divisions.

Like all forms of Caribbean Voodoo, practitioners of the 21 Divisions believe in one God, a distant God that doesn’t get involved in human affairs. Followers of this Dominican spiritual tradition believe that God created intermediaries to help humans, beings known as Los Misterios.

The Misterios are powerful beings with rulership and dominion over universal forces and human conditions. Practitioners of the 21 Divisions have ways of connecting with the Misterios to achieve success in life, improve their careers, resolve love and relationship issues, heal illness, and much more.

Filled with detailed insider information and real stories of healing, magic, and mystery, this book will serve as an illuminating guide to the 21 Divisions. Hector Salva―one of the foremost authorities on the practice of the 21 Divisions―offers his insights into:

The history and foundations of Dominican Voodoo
The major Misterios, or spirits, of the 21 Divisions
Ceremonies, rituals, and magical spells
How to get started on the path of the 21 Divisions

One of the places investigated was ‘Old Montana Prison’
https://www.visitmt.com/listings/general/museum/old-montana-prison.html
Old Montana Prison is located in the Old Montana Prison Complex, which houses five unique museums inside its historic prison walls. The complex includes the Old Montana Prison, Powell County Museum, Frontier Montana Museum, Yesterday’s Playthings and the Montana Auto Museum. One fee covers all museums.

Discover yesteryear when you step into the first Territorial Prison in the western United States. The prison was built by convict labor in the late 1800s. The gray sandstone walls of this immense structure are 24 feet high and buried 4 feet deep to prevent escape by tunneling.

You can visit the enclosed courtyard where the convicts exercised, and walk through their austere cell blocks and feel the chills of maximum-security cells. The last prisoners were moved in 1979 after which the facility was opened to the public.

Another site was Dumas Brothel
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dumas_Brothel

The Dumas Brothel was a bordello in Butte, Montana. The brothel was founded by French Canadian brothers Joseph and Arthur Nadeau in 1890 and named after the nominal owner, Delia Nadeau, née Dumas, who was Joseph’s wife. It grew considerably through the years, with the miners employed by the city’s copper mines often patronizing the establishment. After several changes of the “madams” and continuing pressure from authorities, the brothel closed in 1982, described as “a rare, intact commentary on social history”. At the time of its closure, it was the longest operating brothel in the United States, having operated years after prostitution was made illegal. After closing, the brothel changed hands several times, eventually becoming a tourist attraction owned and managed by a series of Butte residents.

Facebook Event Page Link

About Dr. Heather Lynn

Dr. Heather Lynn is a historian, renegade archaeologist, and defender of classical education. A professor of humanities by day and ardent truth-seeker by night, Heather is on a mission to uncover and share the lost wisdom of antiquity, challenging the accepted narrative found in our history books. Author of multiple books and articles on fringe topics ranging from history to philosophy, Heather’s research includes hidden history, ancient mysteries, mythology, the occult, symbolism, paleocontact, and consciousness. In addition to regular appearances on podcasts and radio programs like Coast to Coast AM, Heather Lynn has been a historical consultant for television programs, including History’s Ancient Aliens.

Background

Heather has undergraduate degrees in archaeology and the liberal arts. She continued to study anthropology and history through graduate school, earning her MA in History. Her thesis examines the intersection of economics, consumer culture, propaganda, and public education in Early Modern Europe. She went on to earn her doctorate in education at the University of New England. Her dissertation challenges the perceived pedagogical value of digital technologies over real artifacts in museum exhibits. As a life-long learner, she regularly participates in professional development courses and holds course certificates in Human Osteoarchaeology from Leiden University, Archeoastronomy from Politecnico di Milano, the Greek Hero from Harvard University, among others. She is also a certified social & behavioral research investigator through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program).

Although Heather Lynn is a scholar, it is her open-minded approach that makes her a true renegade. In addition to her academic accomplishments, Heather is an ordained minister and holds a theological doctorate in Comparative Religion. She is also a member of multiple professional organizations, including: the American Historical Association, the Society for Historical Archaeology (SHA), Association of Ancient Historians, and World Archaeological Congress. In her spare time, she plays the French horn in a local symphony orchestra whose performances raise money to provide art and cultural education to low-income communities and has recently started playing violin. She loves classical music, tennis, and a good cup of tea.

About ‘The Annunaki Connection’

Connects a diverse range of new and existing theories about the Anunnaki, offering a definitive guide to the Anunnaki while exploring their possible connection to humanity’s past, present, and future.

Over 6,000 years ago, the world’s first civilization, the Sumerians, were recording stories of strange celestial gods who they believed came from the heavens to create mankind. These gods, known as the Anunnaki, are often neglected by mainstream historians. The Sumerians themselves are so puzzling; scholars have described their origin as “The Sumerian Problem.”

anunnaki; gods; sumerian; Sumerian gods; alien; aliens; dna; humanity; civilizations

With so little taught about the ancient Sumerians in our history books, alternative theories have emerged. This has led many to wonder, What is the true story behind the Sumerians and their otherworldly gods, the Anunnaki?

In The Anunnaki Connection, Heather Lynn connects a diverse range of new and existing theories about the Anunnaki, offering a definitive guide to Mesopotamian gods while exploring what role they might have played in engineering mankind. The Anunnaki Connection traces the evolution of gods throughout the Ancient Near East, analyzing the religion, myth, art, and symbolism of the Sumerians, investigating:
Who are the Anunnaki?
How accurate are the current Sumerian text translations, and how do we know for sure who to believe?
Is there a connection between the Anunnaki and other ancient gods? What about demons?
Where are the Anunnaki now? Will their possible return spell the end of our world?

About Cindy:
Many (very many) moons ago Linda Goodman introduced me to astrology. Rather, her book, Sun Signs, did when I was 18 years old. From there I did everything I could to learn about astrology. Those were the days before the internet and readily available sophisticated astrology software, so I had to draw up charts by hand and use an ephemeris to find planetary positions. It was challenging but fun.During university, astrology was a very big part of my life. After studying and practicing for a decade, life presented a series of teachers that subtly immersed me in environments of enlightenment. This is where Tarot and dowsing (radiesthesia) come in.On that learning path, I met some of the finest teachers, all whom I found through serendipity. Many of them are dear friends from the Edgar Cayce Center.
